Academic Researchers, creatives and Educators in the Arts

Gibson/Martelli at StudioT3D

A space to experiment and experience for those in academia.

For academic researchers either working as educators or undertaking research, or creative artists exploring new methods of communication, we bring you the technology and the expertise to realise your goals.

StudioT3D in London houses a dedicated virtual production studio, with full performance capture capabilities, and a volumetric capture stage, also with motion capture capabilities. Additionally we own a host of immersive technologies, from various 3D displays to virtual reality headsets.

In Gateshead, Advanced Media Production PROTO has a virtual production volume, full performance capture capabilities and a photogrammetry rig. London and Gateshead studios are connected via a high speed 5G line, meaning collaboration can happen live between the studios.

Academic Research

There is potential, with a consistent long term investment into research, to explore the sense of ownership for the dancer, to enable an emotional, poetic relationship.”

We offer space and technology to conduct academic research in all disciplines.

Dr Daniel Strutt is a senior lecturer in the Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, and digital media theorist. Dan, along with his team of postgraduate students and industry experts, has been exploring the potential of accessible wireless and markerless motion capture technology in choreographic dance creation, rehearsal, teaching, and performance.
